How to Replace the Rear Wiper Blade on a Toyota Matrix
The rear windshield wiper blade on a Toyota Matrix helps to remove the debris that accumulates on the rear window. Windshield wiper blades should be checked every six months on the Matrix for rubber deterioration. If you do not replace the wiper blades before the rubber compound fails, you may cause permanent damage to the rear glass panel (the blade could scratch the glass). To prevent this from happening, you need to know how to replace the rear wiper blades. You'll need to buy the new blade through a Toyota dealership.

Insert the new wiper blade assembly into the wiper arm and turn the blade assembly to the right to secure it to the wiper arm.

Lower the arm back to the glass, making sure the rubber is pressed firmly against the rear glass assembly.
